NURSES reflection

The movie, NURSES If Florence Could See Us Now was a very eye opening film to many aspects and specialties of nursing. During the movie, there were a lot of different emotions that I had felt whether they were compassion, happiness, sadness, empathy, or respect. All of the nurses that spoke had a different perspective on nursing in today’s world and the hardships that make it all worth it in the end. Throughout the film, I learned a lot about the skill of compassion and pride that nurses should have in their profession as they have a gift and use that gift to help others in their most trying times. In an event of me preparing for a interview, I will be the utmost prepared to talk about not only my strengths, weaknesses, and qualifications, but also my skill of compassion and the desire and need to help others that desperately need it. I will be my authentic self and honest in my answers when in an interview, but also making sure to interview the employer as well as this may be my career for the next 10, 20, 30 years. I will be able to provide them with my strengths through the work of being honest and not giving false information that could end up hurting me in the end. My strengths will include aspects of myself that may set me apart from others in the same interviewing process. I am humbled by the fact that I an unique in my own way, go about assessments and vitals possibly a different way that provides compassion and empathy to the patient. When describing my challenges, I will take them as points of opportunity and learning. I am the one to have an open mind to scenarios and am excited for those opportunities to arise as they will always be learning experiences throughout my lifetime.
