This piece art spoke to me because when I look at it, I see that the main core of nursing has not changed as time went on and as the profession grew. The main concern and aspect of a nurse is the care and empathy they have for their patients. This old photo depicts just that and shows the unique connection that the nurse and patient have for each other. This photo shows me why nurses are the most trusted profession within the United States.

As a nurse, our main priority is the patient. We center all of our work and care around the patients that we work with. This picture is a poster for that care and empathy that we as nurses provide. This is also the perfect example of nursing over the years and showing how no matter how far we technologically advance, the patient will still always e the center of care and the trusting nurse-to -patient relationship will always remain.
You are absolutely correct; times change but at the heart of nursing it remains the compassion that passes between patient and nurse, It is very evident in this photo!
